Mark Armbruster is one of Southern California's leading land use attorneys, having successfully worked on numerous major real estate development projects in the region since 1978. He received a B.S. degree in political science from UCLA in 1971 and a J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1977.

In 1970-1971, Mark ran the successful inaugural campaign of former Los Angeles City Councilman Joel Wachs. He then served as Councilman Wachs' first Chief Deputy from 1971-1972. Subsequently, he ran the Congressional District office of former Congressman Alphonzo Bell. From 1974-1977, Mark worked for two real estate development companies, including Kaufman and Broad, while attending Loyola Law School.

In addition to expertise in the land use area, Mark brings years of experience and credibility with elected officials, their staffs and departmental staffs within the unincorporated County of Los Angeles and City of Los Angeles as well as numerous other municipalities in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. He has successfully represented clients in many major commercial, industrial, retail and residential projects including Cascades Business Park and Golf Course (2 million square feet), J.H. Snyder Co.'s NoHo mixed-use development (1 ½ million square feet), Cypress Land Company industrial projects (over 3 million square feet in Cypress, Calabasas, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and Moorpark), Marlborough School expansion, Home Depot projects, Airtel Plaza Hotel, Brentwood Country Club, Weintraub Financial Corporation (Wilshire Boulevard high-rise), Clear Channel Communications and many more.

Mark has served on the Board of Directors of Bel Air country Club and the Michael Burke Foundation. He is actively involved with many civic activities, including the Los Angeles Zoo, St. John's Hospital and the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation.
